HELLO EVERYONE,
FIRSTLY, MY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO PUT TIME AND PROCESS ASIDE TO ATTEND MY RECENT WORKSHOPS THROUGH EUROPE. IT WAS A VERY GOOD SERIES OF ‘GETTING TOGETHER AND MOVING THINGS ON’ (CONTRARY, PERHAPS, TO THE GENERAL MOVEMENT THERE), AND I HOPE THAT INSIGHT AND DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THIS WONDERFUL WORK WAS THE OUTCOME.
IT WAS CERTAINLY THE INTENT, WHETHER IT BE A TIMELY RETURN TO THE ROOT OF OUR WORK, A MORE EMBODIED UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEIGONG, A DEVELOPING OF OUR LINEAGE-METHOD SWORD FORM INTO ITS COMBAT HERITAGE, OF BAGUA INTO ITS CONSTANT CHANGE PRINCIPLES OR OF A RARE 3RD DOOR LOOK INTO THE PROCESS OF NEIDAN, ‘SIMPLY’ THE REFINED PRODUCT OF SOUND FUNDAMENTALS AND EMBODIED NEIGONG SKILLS ..
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT MOST OF THIS WORK CAN BE FOLLOWED UP BY THE VARIOUS TEACHING STUDENTS OF OUR SCHOOLS IN EUROPE, AND KEITH (BRIGHTON, UK) HAS ALSO GENEROUSLY OFFERED TO HOLD DEDICATED WEEKEND WORKSHOPS FOR JUST THIS PURPOSE IN ALL BRANCHES OF OUR SCHOOL FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR, SO IN CZECH, GERMANY, AUSTRIA AND ENGLAND. I WOULD URGE EVERYBODY WHO UNDERSTANDS THE VALUE OF THIS TO ATTEND AS MANY OF THESE AS POSSIBLE – PARTICULARLY IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT JOINING US FOR OUR FIRST 9-DAY RESIDENTIAL EUROPEAN INTERNAL INTENSIVE NEXT MAY (2017), WHICH WILL BE OPEN TO ALL CURRENT STUDENTS, BOTH INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED. The Austrians will find their way, I’m sure 😉
For the guys from Germany there are (beside driving) good flight connections
from Frankfurt to Prague or Vienna and
from Hamburg to Prague or Vienna, both 140 to 180 euros.
Then by bus or train to Slavkov via Brno (200 km from Prague, 120 km from Vienna, there’s also a direct bus from the Vienna airport to Brno https://www.studentagency.eu/en/ and an “almost direct one” with the same company from Prague airport).
For the English/Scottish/Welsh there’s either easyjet to Prague or Vienna, then bus or train to Slavkov via Brno; or Ryanair from Stansted directly to Brno J
We very much hope that there will be many of you who will find their way to the land of southern Moravia 😉 It will be worth it!

Cornwall Residential Intensive Workshop With Roy Jenzen
The Cornwall Intensive workshop is now open for booking. It will be held as before at Sennen Cove in the far west of Cornwall. The workshop will be an opportunity to work with and deepen our Xing Yi skills, including some Xing Yi Spear methods. We will also be looking at the ‘Original Method Tiger and Dragon.’ This will be one of the only opportunities to train with Roy in the UK this year.
Spaces in the accommodation are limited so to avoid disappointment please book early. A deposit of £100 will be required to secure your place.

Dates – Thursday 23rd June 2016 – Tuesday 28th June 2016

Chinese New Year Workshop
During this workshop, on the Saturday, we will be working with Primal Animal Qi Gong and the core Nei Gong skills essential to fully enliven the forms. Saturday is suitable for beginners and those wishing to deepen their skills. The Sunday will be a Combat Skills day working on Xing Yi Nei Gong, Partner work and The Coiling Root Stepping (PanGen).

This weekend held in Vienna will be exploring the Xing Yi Dao (sword). We will be working on the essential sword Nei Gong training and the first half of the form.

October 10/11 in Vienna, Austria, dedicated to the deepening and the development of our more advanced work that was recently entered into with both Hannah and Keith in Cornwall and at the Castle in Austria : the ‘inner door’ spiral-power stepping method of Xingyi chuan, uncovering its roots (Dragon/Tiger Original Method, and the Xi Sui Jing), and following them into the martial Tiger (hu xing) form and further into dao (sabre) and qiang (spear) method.
